MUSIC AND MORE WILLIE SIDELINED BY RUPTURED BLOOD VESSEL Willie Nelson called off several shows over the weekend due to a ruptured blood vessel. Nelson's Web site said doctors told him to take it easy for a few days but he is expected to resume performing by the end of this week. Nelson suffered a ruptured blood vessel in his nose last Thursday in Lincoln, Neb., where he was scheduled to play. Weekend concerts at Neosho, Mo., Bonner Springs, Kan., and Geneva, Minn., also were scrubbed. HANK SR. HONORED BY ROCK 'N ROLL HALL Hank Williams will be honored this month in a five-day tribute at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. Advertisement The tribute will be highlighted by a concert Sept. 28 at the State Theater, featuring Jett Williams, Marty Stuart, Brett James and other artists. Don Helms, who played the steel guitar in Williams' original band, also will play. Williams, who was inducted into the hall in 1987, was only 29 when he died of a heart attack on New Year's Day 1953. The museum opened a Hank Williams exhibit on Sept. 1. FIVE CHICKS SONGS ON SINGLES CHART Thanks to a wildly successful debut of their new album, "Home," the Dixie Chicks now have five songs on Billboard's Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart. Radio stations jumped all over the Chicks' third album after it was released Aug. 27. While a pre-released single, "Long Time Gone," dropped to No. 9 in the album's debut week, the Chicks' version of Stevie Nicks' "Landslide" debuted at No. 24. Three other tracks -- "White Trash Wedding," "Tortured, Tangled Hearts" and "Travelin Soldier" -- also made the singles list. The album made its debut at No. 1 on the multi-genre Billboard 200 and country album charts last week.
