NO GO FOR DEAD SHOW IN WISCONSIN

The Walworth County Highway Committee has turned down an application for a permit to stage a Grateful Dead reunion concert in East Troy, Wisc. because the local government doesn't have the resources to handle the crowd that would show up for something like that.

Clear Channel Entertainment had planned to present "Terrapin Station -- A Grateful Dead Family Reunion" on Aug. 3-4.

It would have been the first time for Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir in concert together since Jerry Garcia died of a heart attack in 1995.

TALK ABOUT YOUR BABY PICTURES

MTV will premiere a miniseries next week featuring singer-actress Brandy -- documenting her pregnancy and the upcoming birth of her first child.

The show -- an outgrowth of the success of "The Osbournes" -- will run in the same time slot as the breakthrough series that raised Ozzy Osbourne's profile to new levels and turned his wife and children into celebrities. MTV is also in talks with Sean "Puffy" Combs about turning his life into a TV show.

The new show featuring the former star of "Moesha" is called "Diary Presents: Brandy -- Special Delivery." It is scheduled to premiere on June and run for four or five weeks -- depending on when she delivers her baby.

The show will not provide as comprehensive a look inside Brandy's life as "The Osbournes" did with the rocker and his brood. Rather, Brandy's home is rigged up with cameras that she can operate.

CRAIG DAVID'S NEXT

Craig David -- currently wrapping up a U.S. radio tour in support of "Walking Away," the third single from his U.S. debut album, "Born To Do It" -- is also putting the finishing touched on his third album.

"It's about time," he told LAUNCH, "especially in the U.K. and Europe, it has been, like, two years now on the same album, which is a beautiful thing. I never thought it would allow me to see so many great things, but, 'Where's this new material? That's what we really need.'"

David said he hoped to have the new album ready by the end of the year.

MORE KORN STUFF

KoRn has an ambitious plan to promote its new album, "Untouchables" -- including music premieres, exclusive audio and video content and special offers on the band's Web site (korn.com) and its Epic record label site (korntv.com).

On top of all that, fans who buy "Untouchables," which hit stores Tuesday, will also get CD Extra bonus material embedded in the disc -- which will lead the way to exclusive live video footage and offers accessed via ConnecteD technology.

The band premiered the album Monday with a live performance from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York -- viewed by fans around the world online at MTV.com, and digitally-simulcast in movie houses in over 40 U.S. cities.

The show featured a "making of Untouchables" short film and an hour-long performance by KoRn. Fans who bought the album on Tuesday were able to access seven tracks from the Monday show, using ConnecteD technology and the disc.

Sir Paul McCartney and his lady-love, Heather Mills, were married Tuesday before a gathering of about 300 friends and family at Castle Leslie in Glaslough, Ireland.

The guest list includes Ringo Starr, Sir George Martin, Eric Clapton, Sir Elton John and David Gilmour.

It's the second marriage for both McCartney and Mills, who met in 1999 at a charity function organized by Mills. The 59-year-old McCartney was married for 29 years to Linda McCartney, who died of cancer in 1998.
