Wynton Marsalis, the Neville Brothers, Wayne Shorter and the Count Basie Orchestra are among the headliners at this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, which takes over the Big Easy April 26 through May 5.

Downbeat.com reports that now in its 32nd year, the Soul Daddy of all jazz festivals features not only jazz, but blues, gospel, zydeco and American roots music of nearly every description -- particularly if it's native to the South. It's being held at the 35-acre New Orleans Fairgrounds. Twelve tent stages will present acts simultaneously, with more than 600 bands appearing throughout the week.
