More than 40 unique items will be on the block Nov. 8-18. Other artists taking part include 'N Sync and Joni Mitchell as well as actors Cameron Diaz, Dylan McDermott, Jill Hennessy, William H. Macy, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, Diane Keaton, Kelly Preston, and the casts of "The West Wing," "Frasier" and "Will & Grace".

All proceeds will benefit P.S. Arts, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the arts to public education in under-served areas.

THINGS WE DON'T UNDERSTAND

The presence of former Weather Underground radical Bernadine Dohrn on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., is creating a stink. Dozens of alumni are complaining to the school about her position as part of the law school faculty -- some going so far as to threaten to withhold future donations as long as she remains employed there.

This comes at the same time as her former ally in terror, the SLA's Sara Jane Olson, is creating a stir over her plea before a California court in connection with two bombings in 1975. Olson pled guilty and then renounced the plea outside the courtroom -- saying she did so only because she felt she could not get a fair trail in the aftermath of Sept. 11, with anti-terrorist sentiments running high.

Eight advanced search dog teams that recently returned from working "Ground Zero" in New York City were honored in Los Angeles Monday by the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences, located in Pomona, Calif.

In conjunction with its annual "A Tribute to Caring" fundraising event, the school donated $15,000 to the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (NDSDF), a non-profit organization that turns rescued and donated dogs into the FEMA\-certified rescue dogs. The organization sent a total of 13 dogs and their handlers to the World Trade Center site after the terrorist attacks to search for victims.

Western University donated 20 percent of proceeds from the fundraiser, which usually benefit the university's scholarship fund, to relief organizations working to help victims and their families of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

TODAY'S SIGN THE WORLD IS ENDING

Four in 10 British Muslims questioned for a newspaper survey say Osama bin Laden is justified in his war against the United States, and that Britons who choose to fight alongside the accused terrorist leader are right to do so.

The poll, conducted by the Sunday Times of London, also found 11 percent of respondents believe Islamic terrorists were justified in the Sept. 11 attacks against New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon near Washington.

While sharing Thanksgiving goodies, conversation and laughter over dinner with family and friends is a favorite way to celebrate the holiday, feasting on Thanksgiving leftovers might be the best way to spend the following days.

That's according to a recent poll conducted by Tupperware, which found 71 percent of the 1,006 Americans surveyed saying they always have leftovers after Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers seem to go hand-in-hand. Forty-nine percent of respondents say the main reason for saving Thanksgiving leftovers is because they do not like to waste food, while 25 percent choose to keep leftovers because they like the taste. In fact, 38 percent said they enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers even more than eating dinner the first time. Reportedly, 43 percent of Americans prepare extra food when making Thanksgiving dinner just for the purpose of having leftovers.

But Thanksgiving leftovers don't remain leftover for long. 85 percent said leftovers last for seven days or less, with 62 percent only keeping them for three days or less.

55 percent of respondents report turkey is their favorite leftover. Forty-seven percent most often use Thanksgiving leftovers to prepare turkey sandwiches.
