High Tone Records artists Buddy and Julie Miller will sing harmony vocals with Lee Ann Womack when she performs her new single, "Does My Ring Burn Your Finger" -- written by the Millers -- on the 35th annual CMA Awards Show. The broadcast is set to air on CBS-TV Wednesday, November 7th at 8:00, Eastern Time.

Buddy and Julie Miller's self-titled latest album landed the couple its first-ever action on the Billboard Country Album Charts, debuting at No. 45 in its first week of release.

The album also debuted on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart at No. 41. The record is a masterful piece of traditional country music which immediately caught the versatile Lee Ann Womack's attention.

In the past Womack has done shows with Aerosmith, Shaggy, Jessica Simpson and the National Symphony and shared tours with George Strait and Alan Jackson. Later this year she plans to spend the Christmas season on the road with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. But with Buddy and Julie Miller, whose writing wears its heart on its sleeve, Womack will be delving back into country music's emotional history.

"I have loved both Buddy and Julie's music since the very first time I heard their music," said Womack. "I've recorded several of their songs -- and I am always honored to have them, but I also like the idea of being able to share this moment with these two incredible artists who have been so generous."

As opposed to the often overdone made-for-TV extravaganzas, this performance will be an understated moment with the raw emotions of this song about marriage on the rocks in the spotlight. Womack, who was last year's leading CMA nominee and saw "I Hope You Dance" win Song and Single of the Year -- is again nominated for both Female Vocalist and Video of the Year (for "Ashes By Now").

"She didn't need us on the songs," Miller told No Depression magazine of their involvement on "Ring" and "I Know Why The River Runs" on Womack's nearly triple platinum "I Hope You Dance," earlier this year. "But it means a lot to us that she wanted us involved, and we were blown away with her renditions of the songs."

The Millers are not only critically-acclaimed artists on their own, but they've spent much of the last several years as part of Emmylou Harris' always amazing live ensemble. In addition, Buddy has done time as part of Steve Earle's road aggregation -- and has always been an invaluable collaborator/catalyst.

"On last year's CMAs, I got to sing with Sons of the Desert, which was wonderful," Womack said of her awards performances. "Being able to share the music with other artists whom I think the world of makes what I think is already a killer evening that much better."

Having spent six weeks on top of the Country charts and eleven weeks at No. 1 on the Adult contemporary charts with "I Hope You Dance," Womack has seen the world through a song. In addition to her appearance at the Concert for the Nobel Peace Prize, the lithe songstress sang at the Orange Bowl, gave a command performance for President Bush's first formal White House dinner, co-hosted the TNN/CMT/Country Weekly Awards and performed on "Oprah," where Maya Angelou had introduced the talk show queen to "Dance."

"That's the beauty of music," said Womack. "If you respect it and care for it -- and mostly do right by it -- you'll never believe all the places it will take you, or the people it will bring into your life. Besides the joy I get from singing great songs, everything else makes it seem like a fairy tale."

"Does My Ring Burn Your Finger," Womack's newest single, was shipped to radio this week and should get quite a boost from the CMA performance. The live shot won't hurt the Millers either, who are currently on tour in Texas.
