May 30 (UPI) -- Nintendo has announced a new Pokemon game for its Switch console that combines elements of its popular Pokemon Go mobile title and classic Game Boy entry Pokemon Yellow.

The new game, which will be available as Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu Version and Pokemon Let's Go! Eevee Version, was announced alongside a gameplay trailer Tuesday during a live press conference in Japan.

The titles refer to how either Pikachu or Eevee will accompany players throughout their journey set in the Kanto region and includes all 151 original Pokemon including their Alolan forms as seen in Pokemon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS.

The gameplay trailer demonstrates how players will be capturing Pokemon by using the motion-controls present in the Switch's Joy-Con controller and how the game features a two-player co-op mode.

Pokemon Let's Go! will also feature the series' signature turn-based battles which are activated when faced by certain Pokemon trainers, a way to transfer over Pokemon gathered in Go, the ability to play online and the ability to use an optional and sold separately Poke Ball Plus controller to play the game.
