Nobel Prize in Physics awarded to 3 Americans

Willard S. Boyle (L) and George E. Boyle and Smith, along with Charles K. Kao, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics on October 6, 2009, for their work inventing and developing a sensor that turns light into electrical signals, now widely used is digital photography.
