HIGH RANKING LEBANESE OFFICER ASSASSINATED

The remains of a body lying in the dirt after a bomb killed Captain Wissam Eid, a high ranking member of the Lebanese Internal Security Force, and three others in a Beirut suburb on Friday January 25, 2008. Twenty other people were injured in the attack. Eid had survived two previous assassination attempts.
