IRAQI SOLDIER TRAINING

IRAQI SOLDIER TRAINING

Two Iraqi soldiers from 2nd Brigade, 7th Iraqi Army Division look at their certificates of completion they received for finishing a three-week Humvee licensing and preventive maintenance course at Camp Al Asad, Iraq. More than 20 Iraqi soldiers graduated from the three-week course March 20, 2006, which was taught by Regimental Combat Team-7 Marines. The Iraqi soldiers are now fully qualified to train and license other soldiers within their command. In addition to the training, the 2nd Brigade also received 24 new Humvees to replace the small, unarmored pick-up trucks they were using. The graduation ceremony marked another milestone in the 2nd Brigade’s progress toward eventually relieving Coalition Forces in western Al Anbar Province of all security operations.
