Nadaam Festival opens in Inner Mongolia

The annual Mongolian Nadaam Festival, featuring various Mongolian ethnic groups, nomads and wrestlers in traditional garb, opens in Zhenglan Qi, a small town in the northern Chinese province of Inner Mongolia on July 18, 2014. Nadaam begins with an elaborate ceremony featuring traditional dancers, athletes, horse riders and musicians before competitions in archery, wrestling and horse racing begin. UPI/Stephen Shaver
