World's tallest man

A child works his way into a life-size replicia chair that belonged to Robert Pershing Wadlow in Alton, Illinois on March 23, 2019. Wadlow, who was born in Alton, Illinois in 1918, measured 8 ft 11.1 inches and was known as the tallest man who ever lived at the time of his death in 1940, at the age of 22. Watlow, who weighed 439 pounds, became a celebrity after his 1936 U.S. tour with the Ringling Brothers Circus, eventually working for the International Shoe Company who provided his 37 AA shoe size to him free of charge.
