Anthony Quinn, 69, who opened here at the Kennedy Center in a revival of the musical "Zorba" is hugged by actor-dancer Joel Grey at an after-theater reception at Mel Krupins in Washington on September 7, 1984. Asked why he is back on the road with the show after a 10-month tour prior to Broadway and nearly a year in New York, Quinn said: "I'm still learn¬ing about musical theater—most of it is still new to me and I want to keep getting better at it." Quinn, an avid painter, hopes he has another musical in his future—he wants to star as his personal hero Pablo Picasso and a musical version of the artist's life is being written for him. Grey was in Washington because he is a special adviser to the Zorba production. (UPI Photo/Files)
