House Impeachment Managers Walk to the Senate

House impeachment managers deliver the single article of impeachment accusing former U.S. President Donald Trump of inciting the January 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol riot that left five people dead in Statuary Hall at the U.S. Capitol on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Washington, D.C. Cheryl Johnson, clerk of the House of Representatives; Timothy Blodgett, acting Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives lead the House impeachment managers Reps. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), David Cicilline (D-R.I.), Joaquin Castro (D-Texas), Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.) and Joe Neguse (D-Colo.) and Delegate Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands)] from the House, proceeding through National Statuary Hall and the Capitol .Rotunda to the Senate where the managers will deliver the article of impeachment against former President Donald Trump. Raskin, the lead manager, will read the article of impeachment on the Senate Floor and upon conclusion of the exhibition of the article, the managers will process back to the House side. On Tuesday, there will be the issuance of summons and U.S. senators will be sworn-in for the impeachment trial however, the trial will not begin in earnest until the week of Feb. 8.
