Dignified Transfer Of World War II Soldier

Howie, who was killed in a crash in 1943 at the age of 24, was assigned to the 345th Bombardment Group aboard a B-24 Liberator bomber as a radio operator. His remains were not identified following the war and were buried in the Hero Section of the Civilian and Military Cemetery of Bolovan, Ploiesti,Prahova, Romania and later identified in August 2022.
