ST. LOUIS CARDINALS PITCHER JASON MARQUIS WINS SILVER SLUGGER AWARD

Hillerich & Bradsby Co., the maker of Louisville Slugger bats announced that St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jason Marquis has been awarded the Silver Slugger Award for his hitting performance in the 2005 season, in Louisville, KY on October 31, 2005. Marquis, who appeared at the plate 87 times in 47 games in 2005, had 27 hits, 10 RBI's and one homerun for a batting average of .310.
