A Flight Of Afrikaners From South Africa Granted Refugee Status Arrives In The US

C0-Founder of the Cape Independence Advocacy Group Phil Craig speaks to journalist at the International Arrivals Terminal at Dulles International Airport as the first flight of Afrikaners From South Africa granted refugee status arrive in the United States on May 12, 2025 in Sterling, Virginia. The Cape Independence Advocacy Group (CIAG) is a successionist movement formed in 2020 with a goal of a free and econimically independant region in the Western Cape of South Africa, seperate from the rest of the country of South Africa. The newly arriving Afrikaner immigrants underwent immigration processes that were expedited due to claims of oppression and genocide as the Trump administration halted immigration from other countries in the world affected by war or harsh socio-econiomic conditions.
