TORNADO KILLS TWO INJURES 17

TORNADO KILLS TWO INJURES 17

Volunteers sift through debris amid overturned cars on March 12, 2006 after a tornado ripped through a community in Perry County near the small town St. Mary about 80 miles south of St. Louis on March 11. Two people were killed when a man and a woman were traveling in a car and the strong winds pushed the car 75 yards off the road into a propane storage tank. Seventeen others in the small community were injured. Several tornados in a 30 square mile area, landed in communities in Missouri and Illinois. (UPI Photo/Bill Greenblatt)
