Ronald Reagan on presidential campaign trip in New Hampshire

Former California Governor Ronald Reagan flashed this big smile on January 6, 1976 in Dixville Notch, NH, as he was presented Republican balloons while having coffee at this Canadian border town. The town traditionally is the first in the nation to vote, casting their few ballots and totaling them moment after mid-night in New Hampshire? first-in-the-nation voting. A balloon factory in the area is also the town?s main business. This is the second of three-day tour for Reagan in the area, campaigning for the republican presidential nomination.
