CHO99082301 - 23 AUGUST 1999 - CHORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, USA: Sgt. Chris Lynch of the Chorpus Christi Police allow residents who were evacuated Saturday, back on Padre Island Monday after Hurricane Andrew came on land south of the city. The Hurricane landed in Kennedy County where there are aprroximately 460 people reside along with over 50,000 cattle. Chorpus Christi suffered flooding from the storm surge and a few trees were blown down as a result of the wind gusts. There was also some roofs damaged also. UPI/Joe Mitchell
