MELINDA GATES STEPS DOWN FROM DRUGSTORE.COM

Melinda Gates announced late August 21, 2006 that she is stepping down from the board of Bellevue, Washington-based Drugstore.com Inc., an online seller of health, vision and pharmaceutical products. Melinda resigned in order to spend more time running the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she serves as co-chair with husband and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
