Bing Crosby, the golden voiced crooner who enthralled three generations of Americans, died while playing golf at the Moreleja Golf Club in Madrid, Spain, on October 14, 1977. Crosby is shown in an August 16, 1977 appearance at the Concord Pavilion, in Concord, California. It was his first return to the stage after recovering from back injury caused by a 25 feet fall into an orchestra pit while filming a TV special last March 3rd. (UPI Photo/Files)
