Longtime sports cartoonist Amadee Wohlschlaeger dies at the age of 102

Former St. Louis Post Dispatch sports cartoonist Amadee Wohlschlaeger, shown in this April 16, 2012 file photo, has died in St. Louis at the age of 102, on June 24, 2014. Wohlschlaeger worked at the Post Dispatch from 1932-1981 and was the artistic force behind the Weatherbird, a bird drawn on a daily basis reflecting political and sports happenings in St. Louis. Amadee, who went by his first name, was one of the last of the newspaper sports cartoonists and knew and drew all the great ballplayers of his era. UPI/Bill Greenblatt/FILES
