Centene Corporation Chaiman and CEO Michael F. Neidorff, Shown in this March 2018, file photo, has announced that his company would spend up to $1 billion on an East Coast headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Neidorff has made a statement that he is not satisfied with the St. Louis region. Centene is the largest publicly traded company based in St. Louis, just spending millions to expand its Clayton, Missouri headquarters. Neidorff recently cited crime issues in St. Louis and the problems the St. Louis Airport has had in recent years.
