Lady Liberty's "Little Sister" Statue on Display on Ellis Island

Lady Liberty's "Little Sister" Statue from France stands fully installed with a view of the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in New York City. The 9-foot-tall bronze statue was crafted from the original 1878 plaster model by Auguste Bartholdi and was previously on view at Paris's Musee des Arts et Metiers. The Statue will be displayed on Ellis Island over the July 4th holiday weekend before being installed outside of the French Ambassador's Residence in Washington, DC for on Bastille Day.
