Doomsday Clock's time is moved back in New York City
Pervez Hoodbhoy (L) and Stephen Schneider, members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, listen after the minute hand of the Doomsday Clock was symbolically moved back from five minutes to six before midnight at the New York Academy of Science on January 14, 2010 in New York. Some scientists believe that the clock's time leading up to midnight represents the world's vulnerability to catastrophe from nuclear war, climate change, and certain aspects of biotechnology.
