NASA's Space Shuttle "Endeavour" departs for the final time from the Kennedy Space Center

NASA's space shuttle "Endeavour" taxis toward Runway 15 at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida for the final time on September 19, 2012. Endeavour is to depart the Spaceport for the final time on a two day trek to Los Angeles where it will be placed on public display at the California Science Center. The orbiter, mated to the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, will make flybys of NASA centers along the Gulf Coast. It will then fly low over Houston, Texas before landing at Ellington Air Force Base for the public to view the orbiter before departing for the west coast. UPI/Joe Marino-Bill Cantrell
