Chickens are sold in Beijing
An international supermarket sells chicken in downtown Beijing on April 9, 2013. China has started slaughtering all poultry at a Shanghai market after a new bird flu strain that has killed nine people was detected in pigeons sold there. The mass bird killing is the first as the Chinese government and the Center for Disease for Control deal with the H7N9 strain. UPI/Stephen shaver
