French Minister of Culture and Communication Frederic Mitterrand arrives at a ceremony in which actor/director Clint Eastwood will receive the French Legion of Honor medal from French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the Elysee Palace in Paris on November 13, 2009. Former French President Jacques Chirac had honored Eastwood as a knight of the Legion of Honor two years ago but Eastwood's latest decoration was a step up to grade three (commander) on the legionÕs five-grade scale.
