U.S. Marshals attacked in St. Louis
St. Louis police stand guard near the Emergency Department at St. Louis University Hospital where two U.S. Marshal's were taken after being shot a while serving an arrest warrant to a fugitive in St. Louis on March 8, 2011. According to neighbors when the suspect, Carlos Boles was confronted, he reportedly pulled a gun and started shooting. He was apparently shot and killed by the officers. The three lawmen were transported to local hospitals. According to a hospital spokesperson, the St. Louis police officer was grazed when a bullet from the suspectÕs gun was deflected by his vest. His was treated and released. The two U.S. Marshals were taken to another hospital where a spokesperson says one is in critical condition from a gunshot wound, and the other was treated for a gunshot wound to the ankle.
