Gaolan port's fuel zone slowly opens in Zhuhai
A ship offloads oil at an offshore oil dock in the still-underconstruction Gaolan port, a large scale comprehensive harbor industry zone, located in Zhuhai, a major city situated on the Pearl River in Southern China's Guangdong Province on October 26, 2013. Gaolan port is a setup of heavy and chemical industries mainly focused on manufacturing and becoming a major petrochemical and fuel base for offloading and refinement. BP and Shell have opened large areas in the port zone. Resource security, especially energy, has become a top priority for China and a potential threat to the United States as both countries compete for resources globally. UPI/Stephen Shaver
