Workers Build An Underground Cemetery In Jerusalem
Palestinian laborers talk during the construction of the new underground cemetery in the Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem, August 27, 2019. The cemetery, being built in tunnels, will hold 30,000 graves and is the first in the world. Jerusalem has been facing a severe shortage of space to bury the dead. The underground cemetery will open in the first phase of 8,000 graves, after the Jewish High Holidays at the end of October. Photo by Debbie Hill/UPI
