Hawaii National Guardsmen Deploy to Maui County to Aid in Search Efforts

Search and Rescue Soldiers and Airmen attached to Hawaii National Guard CERF-P unit assisted Maui County and State officials in the search and recovery efforts around Lahaina, on August 10, 2023. Around 50 Guardsmen were mobilized on August 9 after the wildfire stuck Maui and assisted in the sweep of the affected area, which will need to be completed before access can be restored to the few unaffected properties.
