FRENCH NAVY EVACUATES 2000 EUROPEAN NATIONALS
Two French Naval warship Mistral (pictured) and Siroco dock at Beirut's port to pick up over two-thousand French and other European nationals still stranded in Lebanon on Friday July 28, 2006. Seventeen days into the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah and foreign national are still being excavated from areas which are inaccessible or caught up in the fighting. The U.S. government announced that the last chartered ship for American national would leave today Friday.
