HYBRID BUSES FOR YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
The National Park Service announces the first fleet of hybrid buses to operate in a U.S. National Park with the arrival of 18 General Motors' advanced hybrid technology powered shuttle busses at Yosemite National Park on April 25, 2005. The 18 new buses offer improved fuel economy, reduced emissions, superior torque and sound levels comparable to passenger cars. The new fleet replaces conventional diesel powered buses.
