Jewish Settler Group Wins Right To Palestinian Hotels In Jerusalem
People past the Palestinian run Imperial Hotel inside Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem's Old City, June 14, 2019. Israel's Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Jewish settler group, Ateret Cohanim, over the Greek Orthodox Church, in a long running legal battle of the sale of three properties in primarily Palestinian parts of the Old City, which include the Imperial Hotel, Petra Hostel and a property in the Muslim Quarter. Church leaders warn that if the Jewish pro-settlement organization, Ateret Cohanim takes control of the properties, they will close access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to Christians and tourists.
