Louisville Cardinals' head basketball coach Rick Pitino involved in sex scandal

Louisville Cardinals' head basketball coach Rick Pitino, seen in a April 1, 2005 file photo in St. Louis, has claimed on August 12, 2009 he had consensual sex with Karen Cunagin Sypher at a Louisville restaurant back on August 1, 2003 and paid her $3,000 for medical expenses. Sypher has pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring to extort money from Pitino in exchange for her silence about the alleged crimes, and with lying to the FBI.
