Attorney General Lynch Announces investigation into Chicago PD
Attorney General Loretta Lynch announces that the Justice Department is opening an investigation into Chicago Police Department, at the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. on December 7, 2015. Lynch said that it is opening a civil rights investigation into whether the police departments use of force violates federal law and civil rights. This announcement comes in the wake of the police shooting death of black 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.
