"Inverted Jenny" postage stamp sells for $825,000 in Texas
An anonymous Wall Street executive purchased one of the world's most famous misprinted postage stamps, the "Inverted Jenny," for $825,000, according to Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas, Texas, the company that sold the stamp. The 24-cent denomination U.S. airmail stamp was issued in 1918 mistakenly depicting an upside-down Curtis JN-4 (nicknamed, "Jenny") biplane. (UPI Photo/Heritage Auction Galleries)
