WAP120106- 12 AUGUST 1997 -WASHINGTON, DC, USA: President Richard Nixon (L) meets in private with Elvis Presley on 21 December 1970 at the White House. During the meeting Elvis asked if Nixon could give him an official badge from the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, once-secret papers revealed. Elvis told Nixon that he wanted to lend his name to the president's law enforcement initiative. In a letter to Nixon, Elvis made a pitch to be named a federal drug enforcement agent.
