Syrian president meets with Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

This is Bashar al-AssadÕs fourth visit to Tehran since Ahmadinejad became president in 2005, Assad's visit follows Syria's key role in the liberation of French student Clotilde Reiss and Nazak Afshar, an Iranian employed at the French embassy. The French woman charged with aiding a plot against the Iranian government during election and post-election time. Early this week the French woman released from prison on bail and handed to the French embassy in Tehran, Iran. UPI
