Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder apologize following birth control backlash

The couple apologized after initially pinning the blame on media outlets for taking Somerhalder's story of how he threw away his wife's birth control to get her pregnant out of proportion. The new parents changed their tune Saturday, and issued a joint statement saying they were "deeply sorry" to anyone affected by reproductive coercion.
