ROSA PARKS VIEWING
Visitors to the St. Paul AME church in Montgomery, Al. on October 29, 2005, line up to make a brief tour of a replica of the bus where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white male passenger in December of 1955. Her defiant act led to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in 1957 declaring segregated busing unconstitutional. Ms. Parks, who became a civil rights icon, died of natural causes at age 92 in her Detroit home on Monday, October 24, 2005. Her body was brought here, her home church, for a public viewing and memorial. (UPI Photo/John Dickerson)
