United Launch Alliance launches NASA's Parker Solar Probe for NASA from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida

A United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket launches at 3:31 AM from Complex 37 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida on August 12, 2018. On board is NASA's Parker Solar Probe. The satellite is launched on a multi-year mission toward the Sun where it will orbit the star and come within four million miles, at closest approach, from its surface.
