World's largest cruise liner begins maiden voyage
The Oasis of the Seas, the world's largest cruise liner, is seen during its float out ceremony on November 25, 2008. The cruise vessel, commissioned by Royal Caribbean International, departed Turku, Finland on October 30, 2009 on its maiden voyage bound for Florida. The Oasis spans 1,200 feet (360 meters), 16-decks, and can accommodate 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew. UPI/Royal Caribbean International
