Last remaining 1933 Double Eagle twenty dollar gold coin to be auctioned
NYP2002042002- NEW YORK, April 20 (UPI)--The last remaining 1933 Double Eagle twenty dollar gold coin will be auctioned at Sotheby's New York on July 30, 2002. The 1933 Double Eagles were never officially issued as US coinage and were ordered destroyed by President Roosevelt Executive Order 6260. Sotheby's estimates that the coin will be auctioned between $4 and $6 million dollars. mk/ep/Ezio Petersen UPI
