GLEN CANYON DAM

Colorado River water is released at 41000 cubic feet per minute from the Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Arizona, November23, 2004. The water behind the dam has been depositing sediment into Lake Powell instead of below the dam, causing loss of habitat and beaches in the Grand Canyon.
