WAP2001031507- 13 MARCH 2001 - WASHINGTON, DC, USA: Freshman Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), who was reportedly worth as much as $40 million from her extraordinary success at RealNetworks, a Seattle high-tech firm, is $4.2 million in debt, the Herald of Everett newspaper in Washington state reported Tuesday. Cantwell spent $5 million of her own money in defeating three-term Republican incumbent Sen. Slade Gorton.
