Coast Guard Cutter the Valiant returns home from deployment

U.S. Coast Guardsmen embarked aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Valiant returns to homeport at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Fla., on Oct. 6, 2013. The Valiant has just completed a five-week deployment to the Caribbean Sea and performed operations as part of Operation Martillo in support of Joint Interagency Task Force South. Operation Martillo is a joint, interagency and multinational collaborative effort to deny transnational criminal organizations air and maritime access to the littoral regions of the Central American isthmus.
