Round one action of the 2011 Rolland Garros French Open in Paris, France. Clijsters defeated Yakimova 6-2, 6-3. Johanna Larsson eliminated 20th-seeded Ana Ivanovic 7-6 (7-3), 0-6, 6-2. Nadal defeated Isner in five sets, the longest match of his French Open career.
