Clashes at Gaza Border Crossing(13 images)

A wounded Palestinians is carried away during during a clash between Palestinian civilians and Egyptian soldiers at the Rafah border crossing in Gaza on January 6, 2010. Gunfire from the Gaza Strip killed an Egyptian border guard, Egyptian state television said. 30 Palestinians were also shot and wounded by Egyptian soldiers targeted by youths who hurled stones at them from across the southern Gaza border, medics and witnesses said. The incidents took place following a demonstration called by the Hamas rulers of Gaza to protest Egypt's construction of an underground barrier meant to stop smuggling through cross-border tunnels.
